University of Nevada, Reno professor Ian Buckle to lead national earthquake engineering group » Earthquake Shake Table Engineering Lab: Ian Buckle

Ian Buckle, Foundation Professor of civil and environmental engineering and director of the Center for Civil Engineering Earthquake Research at the University of Nevada, Reno, will serve as president of the national Earthquake Engineering Research Institute. He and his team concluded experiments this year on a 145-foot-long, 162-ton steel and concrete curved bridge that was built atop four large, 14-foot by 14-foot, hydraulic shake tables in the University’s world-renowned large-scale structures earthquake engineering laboratory.
