New Nevada Living Learning Community open to media Thursday

Media welcome to tour new University of Nevada, Reno residence hall 1-3 p.m. tomorrow 

RENO, Nev. – The Nevada Living Learning Community at the University of Nevada, Reno will formally open for the fall semester on Aug. 23. However, incoming freshmen attending two-day campus orientations this summer have already had the opportunity to stay in the new facility. Media will be welcome to tour and photograph the building on Thursday afternoon. Nevada Living Learning Community

WHAT: Media access to The Nevada Living Learning Community at the University of Nevada, Reno.

WHEN: 1-3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 2. 

WHERE: Media parking is available on the second and third floor of the Sierra Street Parking Complex located on the west side of the building, off Virginia Street and College Drive. Exit the parking garage to the east to access The Nevada Living Learning Community. 

WHO: Residence hall staff will be on hand to guide media, allow access to the secure levels and answer questions.

MORE: Students living in residence halls this fall will move in on Thursday, Aug. 23. A formal grand-opening celebration for The Nevada Living Learning Community will take place 4-6 p.m., Aug. 28.
